Kidney Cancer Association
A Clearer Path to Patient Support
The Kidney Cancer Association (KCA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1990 by a group of patients and physicians. Today, KCA is an international leader in kidney cancer advocacy, education, research funding, and patient support. With a growing global audience, the organization provides critical resources to those affected by the disease while convening healthcare professionals and driving legislative advocacy toward a cure.
As the Kidney Cancer Association expanded its programs and deepened its patient-first mission, its long-maintained website struggled to keep pace—hampered by complex navigation, dense content, and limited tools for understanding its audience. In 2024, KCA partnered with Gecko to lead a strategic website transformation, restructuring the experience around clarity, connection, and growth. By simplifying navigation, organizing content by audience needs, and integrating smarter pathways for insight and action, the new site better reflects KCA’s evolution and provides a stronger digital foundation to drive its mission forward.
“Gecko helped us synthesize dense, sometimes sensitive information, into a user experience that felt intuitive, helpful, and accessible. We're grateful for Gecko's partnership, attention to detail, and commitment to our mission to improve lives of patents and families impacted by kidney cancer!”
