Intermountain West Joint Venture
Where Strategy Meets Science
The Intermountain West Joint Venture (IWJV) is a regional conservation partnership working across federal, state, tribal, and nonprofit organizations. Their work spans science, policy, and landscape-scale habitat management — all dependent on sharing clear, accessible information with diverse audiences. To support that mission, IWJV needed a digital presence and supporting materials that matched the clarity, credibility, and reach of their work.
IWJV’s digital ecosystem had become fragmented, outdated, and difficult to manage: with buried content, a failing backend, and a critical 100+ page Implementation Plan lacking visual cohesion. Gecko unified both platforms into a strategy-first WordPress experience, restructuring hundreds of pages into clear user journeys, streamlining resources, and creating environment-specific pages to clarify complex regional priorities. In conjunction, Gecko redesigned the Implementation Plan as a polished print piece fully aligned with the new digital experience.
"Gecko listened closely to our unique needs for storing and disseminating our content and created us a fully custom library. It was great to learn from their UX expertise, and together we created a variety of search tags and categories that guide users to visually beautiful posts, allowing our people to find what they need most efficiently."
